Meet the Doctor

Dr. William M. Sonak, DC

Dr. Will was born and raised in Front Royal, VA.  He graduated from William and Mary with a BS in Kinesiology in 1992.  After 3 years of “soul-searching” and volunteer work which included youth ministry and teaching high school, he entered chiropractic school in Marietta, GA.  Dr. Will graduated with honors from Life University in 1999.  He worked in two different chiropractic offices before opening Sonak Family Chiropractic in April 2002.

Dr. Will’s first experience with chiropractic was in Front Royal at age 5.  He suffered from asthma and took medications and inhalers for years.  A local chiropractor helped him breathe better which allowed him to be medication and drug free and no longer experience asthmatic symptoms.  Thus, he was destined to be a chiropractor at a young age.

Dr. Will married Alison after meeting her during his youth ministry days.  They met and wed at St. Mark’s in Vienna.  With Alison being a dietitian, they were a perfect fit.  Dr. Will and Alison have 2 children, Nathaniel, born in 2004, and Mackenzie, born in 2007.  Both were born naturally, and both have been under chiropractic care since birth.

Dr. Will is a Family Chiropractor and has a certification in pediatrics and pregnancy, which includes certification in the Webster Technique.  He is a member of the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, International Chiropractic Association, International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association, Virginia Chiropractic Association, and is a parishioner at St. Joe’s in Herndon.  When Dr. Will is away from the office, he enjoys spending time with family and is an exercise fanatic by participating in:  running, biking, tennis, basketball, hiking, swimming, and racquetball.

 

Meet the Staff

 

Alison

Alison is Dr. Will's wife and a graduate of Virginia Tech.  She is a registered dietitian and a mom of two children.  She has been involved with Sonak Family Chiropractic from the beginning as both the business owner and resident nutritional expert.  She works out of this office as well as other offices providing nutrition counseling.

    

Susie

Susie was born in Miami and raised in Houston.  She moved to VA with her mother and older brother in '04 and studied at Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield. She loves shoes and her favorite sport is football.  Susie has worked at a Chiropractic office before and is no stranger to the art of natural healing. She loves the way chiropractic does not need drugs to make you feel better and sees herself being under Chiropractic care forever. 

 

 

                                                                                                                                

 

Abby

Abby is a valuable asset to this office, even though her presence may not be apparent all the time. She handles the processing of insurance claims, day-to-day administrative functions, and is our marketing/event planner. We’ve had the pleasure of having Abby as part of our team for four years.  She is a licensed agent of health, life, annuities, property and casualty insurance, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing Degree at Radford University.  Her hobbies include hiking, drawing, playing basketball, gardening, cooking, spending time with family, and sometimes even riding her unicycle.
